Saskia Lesire, PhD, joined the team in 2025 as Junior Analyst, bringing a strong scientific background in biomedical research, drug discovery, and innovation valorization. She supports the sourcing and evaluation of investment opportunities across therapeutics and MedTech, combining deep scientific expertise with a strong interest in translating academic innovation into impactful companies.
Saskia holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from KU Leuven, where her research focused on molecular medicine, target validation, and assay development. During her doctoral studies, she collaborated with the Centre for Drug Design and Discovery (CD3) on a drug discovery project, gaining hands-on experience in translational research and early-stage therapeutic development.
In addition to her research experience, Saskia completed training in Technology and Knowledge Transfer through Leuven Research & Development (LRD), strengthening her understanding of the pathway from scientific discovery to commercial application. She also obtained the Guberna Director Effectiveness certification, providing exposure to corporate governance and board dynamics.
Her expertise in scientific due diligence, drug discovery, academic sourcing, and deal flow analysis strengthens the team's ability to identify and assess promising life sciences opportunities at their earliest stages.
